Commercials
Old Spice Commercial
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owGykVbfgUE
This commercial is very famous, most people have seen this at some point. It is smartly made because it is humorous, which most people enjoy the most. Only the actor talks in the ad trying to get people to try the product. The slogan of the product is The Man Your Man Could Smell Like, as well as Smell like a Man, Man. This commercial is well made because it grabs the attention of the viewer due to the background always changing. Yet the actor does not seem to be walking into other scenes. Lastly the commercial takes you off guard because he just states things that you would not expect. Also the commercial has a couple of lines that people picked up and use in every day conversation, making the commercial very well written. But overall the commercial does a brilliant job of grabbing the attention of the viewer and keeping it throughout the whole ad.
Pepsi Commercial
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40DykbPa4Lc
Another funny commercial that a lot of people talked about after it aired is this Pepsi commercial. It starts off with a kid wanting to be someone. So he goes off to what appears to be a colony where they train people to be expert at karate. So the kid is given the hair cut that all the men had. Then it shows the boy as an adult. The adult is showing to the head master his skills that he has learn throughout the years. The adult does an amazing job. So everyone celebrates it with a Pepsi at the end. The adult realizes why all the members of the colony have a certain tattoo on their head, it is the imprint of the soda can lid. In order to join, he does it so he too has the imprint. This is a good commercial because at the end it gives the viewer a surprise. Also it showcases their product very well by showing about 30 people holding the can of Pepsi. This commercial is quite funny keeping the viewer in suspense as well as making the viewer remember the product.
Geico Commercial
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8F_G2zp-opg
This commercial starts off with a narrator telling the very well known story of the little piggies going off to the market. Then it switches to a big in a car saying "weee" because the tale says the pigs saying weee weee weee all the way home. I do not particular like this commercial even though a lot of people find it funny. I think that the wee is quite annoying and it made me want to change the channel before the commercial was even over. But the commercial is smart is using the narrator not only because everyone is familiar with that speaker to go with Geico. Also since it is a tale being told it is a clever play on having a narrator tell the story. Overall I think it was a good intention of a commercial but I did not care for it at all nor did I find it funny when in reality it was supposed to be.
Doritos Commercial
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpjaOUjUPUc
The Pug Attack is a quite hilarious commercial. Doritos does an excellent job showcasing their product. Even though they do not say the name of the product until the end it shows the bag of chips from the beginning to the end. The commercial includes a perfect soundtrack to go with the slow motion dog running, making it funny to the viewers. The best part of the commercial is the end. When the audience is expecting the dog to crash into the glass door, it shocks everyone when the dog knocks down the door completely and squishes the man who was being mean to the dog. The commercial keeps the attention of the viewers from the beginning to end by a smart use of music as well as the funny conclusion.
Bud Light Commercial
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wV0B3maUK0E
This is by far my favorite commercial. Bud Light does an excellent job on using the game rock paper scissors shoot. First of all they start off the commercial showing their product as a beer that two people want. This already creates the idea that it must be a good drink. Then to see who gets the last beer the two men play the game. Instead of everyone just seeing who gets it. One of the guys pulls out a rock at the end and throws it at the guy so he passes out so he can have the beer. Bud Light makes the commercial very funny and by putting an end that you would not guess. Overall it shows what someone would do to get a bud light even if it means hurting someone else in the process. I think this commercial did a great job on showcasing their product.

Brochure
Again I decided to stick to the simple look of a brochure. There is not much to say when it comes to getting your hair done. You know what you want. So the brochure is just basically telling the consumer what Hair in Motion can do. Also how to contact them and set up an appointment so that Hair in Motion can come to your house. I kept the same color theme in the brochure only using white, orange, and some black. Also I decided to make the brochure a square so it did not look like the typical brochure. It hopefully will catch someone's eye. Overall the brochure goes really well with the letterhead and business card.

Letterhead - Hair in Motion
I decided to use my original logo design and put it in one of the corners. Then I wanted to add the contact information so if anyone received a letter they would know how to get in contact with the company. Instead of just leaving the letterhead boring I wanted to spice it up by adding some color and swirls to represent the idea of flowing hair. There is still a lot of space to actually write a letter, but with this design it allows a distinct appearance to be remembered by the costumer.

Final Business Card Logo
This is my final logo design. I decided that I would use the simpler one of all my designs because I believe that it is the most unique and eye catching. I believe it is unique because it vertical while a lot of people choose to do horizontal. I took the advice and added in the catch phrase as well as fixing the size of the font for the business card. For the front of the card I used the flowing hair of my original logo. As for the back of the business card, the font used for the company's name, Hair in Motion, is Santa Fe. While the email, phone number, website, and catch phrase are done in papyrus. The font is white to off set the glowing orange. Orange was picked because it was the color of the hair in the original logo. Also using a vibrate color grabs anyone's attention. That was my reasoning for picking this business card logo.

Business Card Ideas
So for my business card I wanted to keep the idea of my original logo. So I used the whole thing, to just the hair, to just the silhouette. Also by keeping the logo I wanted to use those colors mostly, even though some have different colors. I wanted to mix things up. Also I liked the idea of changing which direction the business cards went from horizontal to vertical. All the cards include the name either front and back and a telephone number and an email. Basically I wanted to keep the design simple and not to crowd up the card. Simplest is the way I like. Overall I like all the designs I came up with.
